This was a design for the Evolutionary Anthropology Department Primate Genomics Initiative at Duke University.
The goal of the Primate Genomics Initiative (PGI) is to facilitate collaborative evolutionary genomics research projects between Duke Researchers using nonhuman and human primate models across diverse fields.
The Logo takes PGI's core goals and literally conveys it by combining a DNA strand with a spider monkey to signify evolution. Enclosing the logo illustration with in a circle furthers the message of research.
The colors used stay true to Duke University's royal blue and gray to identify the PGI program with the school.
