Tom Rowe & Associates is an Internet marketing firm based in Harlingen, TX providing website design and online marketing services for the agricultural and construction equipment dealers. The firm oversees the production and maintenance of over 300 dealerships nationwide.

- Research, conceptualization, website production, and online marketing materials for dealerships.

In February of 2008, I decided to freelance in order to obtain further experience in the field of design. I had the pleasure of working with local web production agencies and advertising firms in aspects of design ranging from website production to print marketing materials and logo systems.

Web Designer/Webmaster
University of Texas at Brownsville - College of Liberal Arts
In 2007, I was approached by my professor to design and manage the website for UTB-TSC's College of Liberal Arts. The temporary job was part of the University's Student Employment Initiative program, which aims at placing students in jobs on campus relevant to their careers.
- My responsibilities include:
- Design and produce the website for the College of Liberal Arts.
- Generate content and produce interactive online packages.
- Photograph and write events relevant to the College of Liberal Arts in AP standards format.
Graphic Artist/Layout Designer
The Brownsville Herald
The Brownsville Herald is the lower Rio Grande Valley's Flagship paper. The Newspaper is published daily and has a circulation of about 65,000. It was nationally recognized for its designs during the 2008 presidential elections.
- My responsibilities include:
- Produce illustrations for special editions and daily publications.
- Design and organize page layouts with relevant news, info-graphics and photographs.
- Copyedit stories from the news wires.
- Color correct photos.
- Achievements:
- I was awarded second place for news page design at the Texas Associated Press of Managing Editors in 2007.
- I won two first place awards at the TAPME for team page design and info-graphics design in 2008.
- I worked around the clock developing illustrations, maps and front page layouts during Hurricane Dolly and Ike.
About Me
I have over 5 years of professional design experience working in a range of mediums from print to the interactive web. Son of an accomplished dentist and successful entrepreneur, I have spent my adult life focusing on achieving my dream to be a successful web and print designer. As my work suggests, my interests lie in building functional and great looking websites including building brands and identity systems for the corporate world. I hope to one day share my passion of design with aspiring designers through the form of teaching.
