Project Scope:
A cover design for the annual special section congratulating valedictorians and salutatorians. The design aims to relate to the students by making use of flashy auroras inspired by Apple's 2008 iPod ads.

We wanted to take a different approach from the cliché school themed cover that are overdone in various publications.

The goal was to give the readers, which was largely made up of the students their peers, and parent(s) a design that they could relate to. We thought the design would be appropriate because of the futuristic feel it conveys symbolic of the, "kids are our future" phrase, and Apple's innovation and forward thinking.
