Project Scope:
Waterloo Implement is John Deere dealer based in Iowa. Since John Deere ended their dealer website program, the dealership was ineed of a website to represent their brand online.Being a John Deere Dealer the manufacture had strict design guideline that dealer must adhere to if they want to be linked from the Deere website. Naturally, the dealer made these guidelines a requirement.
The website follows a different layout format of other websites done by Tom Rowe & Associates in that instead of having a flash rotator featuring images of equipment, I tried to put more informational material that would engage users as the main focal point of the site. A lot of emphasis on smart design was placed on this section.
The other unique feature of the site was its footer, where we tried to get more useful information that would aid users as they scroll to the bottom of a page.
Finally other unique aspects are the use of bolder and larger text, which are used as design elements and to give sections of the site unique attention.
